Miss Roobaert

Associate Assistant Headteacher

Miss Roobaert has taught in all key stages over her career and has had a number of different roles in schools including Head of Year 6, Head of Department for subjects including History, Geography, Science and Modern Foreign Languages and Head of Careers. She has also taken great pride in being a PGCE and ECT mentor for student and newly qualified teachers. She has taught in Year 5 and 6 for most of her teaching career but also has experience in teacher Year 7 and Year 8 students. At Walton priory Middle School, as Associate Assistant Headteacher and Head of Year 5, Miss Roobaert will be in charge of transition and responsible for the pastoral care and academic outcomes of students.

Last year, Miss Roobaert was proud to become a member of the ‘Knowledge-Rich School Project’ where she collaborated with Keele and North Staffordshire Teacher Education and school leaders in New Zealand to develop, trial and implement The Curriculum Design Coherence Model (CDCM) in curriculum planning.

Away from school, Miss Roobaert enjoys reading and going for long walks in the country side.
