Miss Smith

Associate Assistant Headteacher – Behaviour

Since starting her teaching career at Walton Priory 10 years ago, Miss Smith has seen many pupils develop into mature individuals. With a degree in Primary and Secondary Education, specialising in Design Technology, the middle school system is a perfect fit. An enthusiasm for teaching food and textiles has helped to develop pupils’ life skills and confidence in their own ability. Watching pupils grow and achieve high standards is a key part of her career. Alongside her specialist subject, Miss Smith has a passion for pastoral care, leading on this across the KS3 phase. Her key role in pastoral care has more recently seen her take on the responsibilities of whole school behaviour, careers and PSHE. She spends time building relationships with pupils to better understand their needs and support their wellbeing. Her hobbies include; baking, Girl Guiding, watching local bands and socialising with friends.

Miss Smith has now completed her NPQML (National Professional Qualification for Middle Leadership) and has completed the Quality in Careers Award.  She has also recently completed her Level 4 multi-agency safeguarding training.
