Science & KS2 Teacher
Hello, I’m Mr. Cayzer, and I’m proud to be part of the fantastic team at Walton Priory Middle School.
My role focuses on teaching Key Stage 2 English, Maths, and Science, as well as some Year 7 Maths. Alongside my teaching responsibilities, I’m deeply committed to advancing teaching and learning, staying up to date with the latest pedagogical research to ensure our students receive the best possible education.
I am most passionate about developing students holistically—fostering their natural curiosity about the world and helping them build pride and ambition in themselves. My aim is to create a classroom environment where every child feels inspired, supported, and challenged to reach their potential.
Formerly a Year 6 teacher with extensive experience in preparing students for SATs, I have been involved in a range of exciting projects at Walton Priory. As the local Partnership Coordinator for the Ogden Trust, I work to strengthen our links with schools in the area, particularly through science education. I’m also proud to have contributed to our school achieving the NACE Accreditation twice, reflecting our commitment to ensuring all students are challenged and inspired in their learning.
Outside of school, I enjoy running—last year, I even managed to convince some of my colleagues to take part in the St Michael’s 10k, leading to a flurry of personal bests! When I’m not running, you’ll often find me dabbling in cooking, enjoying PC gaming, or spending quality time with my son and family.
What truly sets Walton Priory apart is the family atmosphere and the respect we share as a school community. Our staff and students are united in their passion for delivering and experiencing a first-rate education. With high aspirations, a deep sense of pride, and a culture of constant reflection and improvement, Walton Priory is a place I am honoured to call home.
