School offers all young people the opportunity to thrive and flourish in a safe and nurturing environment. It provides the guidance they use to understand themselves, their passions and interests, and to establish the moral and social values they will carry through to adulthood. Being part of their journey is an honour.
Stories, plays, and poems have always fascinated and moved me; I am glad that the world is full of so many! As an English teacher, I have the privilege of being able to share this joy with young people and help them to explore the wonderful places, people, and situations that inspired me from a young age, and have continued to do so.
These are the reasons I became a teacher:
I have taught and led English Language, Literature, and Drama for over twenty years in mainstream secondary education. The majority of my experience, up until recently, has been delivering and preparing students for GCSE and A Level examination. I have experience working with the exam boards AQA, OCR, WJEC, and the International GCSE.
Having been given the warmest welcome by both staff and students at Walton Priory, I am very pleased to be part of this special and unique, family-orientated middle school.
