Head of KS3 English
I am extremely proud to be Head of English at Walton Priory Middle School. In my role, I aim to ensure that all pupils enjoy and thrive in their studies of English. Having taught English to pupils across Key Stage 2-5, I try to pitch my lessons to suit the needs and interests of today’s students. I explore a range of modern and classical texts, as well as a whole variety of text types, so that all pupils can find something that sparks their interest. When a pupil feels pride in their work or feels inspired by a piece of writing, I find that moment of realisation so fulfilling.
Outside of school, I have three very young, busy children who keep me extremely occupied! I love reading, day trips with the family, and lots of shopping—with a coffee and cake!
