Miss McClarence completed a Dual Honours degree in Psychology and Politics at Keele University before realising her true calling was in teaching. Remaining at Keele University for a fourth year, she completed a Primary PGCE with a focus on Science. Miss McClarence joined Walton Priory for her NQT year in 2016 and hasn’t looked back since!

Miss McClarence has a background in dance and cheerleading and has enjoyed coaching these sports as both PE subjects and extra-curricular activities. In recent years, she has brought back 2 silver medals from the International Cheerleading World Championships where she coached Team England Adaptive Abilities Median. She brings an upbeat and energetic enthusiasm to her teaching and aims to engage pupils in their own learning experiences. Miss McClarence values her pupils as unique and individual learners and strives to nurture an environment rooted in mutual respect.

She is in the final stage of achieving Chartered Status through the Chartered College of Teaching and appreciates the positive impact that completing this course has had on her teaching. Miss McClarence holds Level 2 certificates in Child and Adolescent Mental Health and Mental Health First Aid and Advocacy in the Workplace as well as an Emergency First Aid certificate. 

Outside of school Miss McClarence is a keen skier, an avid reader and a member of a nationally competitive all-star cheerleading team as well as a mum.
