Mrs Clarkson

Senior Teacher – Designated Safeguarding Lead/Head of MFL

Mrs Clarkson has been a teacher, middle leader and senior leader for almost 30 years in a variety of primary and first schools. She has taught in every year group from nursery to Year 6 and has co-ordinated almost every subject area within the primary curriculum at some point. English, maths, music and French are her curriculum favourites, but early literacy is her particular strength and she has been a leading literacy teacher within Staffordshire.

She loves to read, can’t help but sing and has led many a children’s choir at all sorts of events from summer fayres to Lichfield Cathedral. She has a passion for the importance of good training for future teachers and enjoys helping them develop their skills. She loves gardening, plays the guitar (only for the ears of children), and likes to get pupils enjoying learning.

Mrs Clarkson has completed her Level 4 multi-agency safeguarding training.
